FRENCH OPEN TENNIS 2017

JELENA OSTAPENKO, the young woman who just enjoyed her 20th birthday on 8th June 2017, won the Ladies Final on the Roland Garros court at the French Open against Romania's SIMONA HALEP.

HALEP, seeded fourth for this tournament, was the punter's favourite leading into the final. OSTAPENKO was the gambler's favourite with her fast paced ground strokes reminiscent of a MARIA SHARAPOVA or PETRA KVITOVA.

OSTAPENKO was ranked 47th going into this tournament. This rank outsider became the first woman since 1933 to win at ROLAND GARROS (a span of some 84 years)

The number 47 is a significant number as it could refer to EUCLID's 47th dilemma or the angle at which the Masonic compass is open.

HALEP was seeded 4th (88th Std English, 34 Pythagoras) compared to 47th (177 Std English, 60 Pythagoras)

HALEP won the first set by 6-4, then went 3-0 up in the second set. She could have gone 4-0 by game 14 but HALEP allowed a contentious line call to go in favour of her opponent. This error of judgement eventually led to HALEP losing the game, allowing OSTAPENKO to get a foothold in the second set.

OSTAPENKO came back to win the set 6-4 against a blunt and cagey HALEP.

The third set decider again went in favour of HALEP but once more OSTAPENKO came from behind to win the final set by 6-3 (a total of 29 games played, 16 games to OSTAPENKO, 13 games to HALEP)

RAFAEL NADAL once again reigned victorious at the ROLAND GARROS arena in PARIS.

His opponent STAN WAWRINKA was resoundingly beaten in a very one sided event. The first few games proved be a nervous time for both players as NADAL failed to get his first serve working. NADAL made a great start to each set, continually asking questions of his dangerous SWISS opponent on the other side of the net.

A combination of severe pressure and unforced errors racked up for WAWRINKA who failed to answer many of NADAL's blistering ground strokes as NADAL upped the speed on his racket speed.

So RAFAEL NADAL won his 10th FRENCH OPEN title which takes his GRAND SLAM tally to 15,
2nd only to ROGER FEDERER, 2nd best of all time in the modern era.

Together ROGER and RAFA have won 33 titles between them.

This ties in nicely with the reference to 1933 in the LADIES final. 1933 was also a turning point for GERMANY with the rise of a Mr ADOLF HITLER and ALCOHOL PROHIBITION in North America.

Rafael Nadal Ten French Open Titles Eleventh June=444 Std English, 222 Reverse Pythagoras, 183 Pythagoras, 176 Chaldean, 163 Septenary/Pi

Was RAFAEL NADAL's FRENCH OPEN win written in the stars ?

TENTH TITLE is 133 Std English, 43 Pythagoras.

RAFA NADAL is 58 Std English, 31 Pythagoras

RAFA NADAL STAN WAWRINKA is 212 Std English, 77 Pythagoras.

TENTH TITLE FRENCH OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP is 368 Std English 170 Pythagoras, 144 Chaldean

TENTH TITLE FRENCH OPEN ROLAND GARROS is 379 Std English, 163 Pythagoras, 133 Chaldean

RAFA NADAL, like HALEP, was seeded 4th for this event, WAWRINKA seeded 3rd

All four rankings of 47, 4, 4 and 3 add up to 58.

OSTAPENKO beat HALEP (47-4=43)  and NADAL and WAWRINKA is 4/3

NADAL wins his fifteenth major title  =216 Std English, 90 Pythagoras, 77 Chaldean

It has been 12 years ago since he started winning at ROLAND GARROS. NADAL, who supports REAL MADRID shares a number with his favourite team who won their 12th EUROPEAN CUP at CARDIFF on 3rd June, the same day as RAFAEL NADAL's 31st Birthday.

Perhaps RAFA NADAL's motivation was to not only win his 10th FRENCH OPEN title and surpass any of his contemporaries on CLAY, but also to go one better than PETE SAMPRAS's 14 Major titles which was shared by NADAL for several years due to injury or illness.

Also ROGER FEDERER extended his major titles from 17 to 18 earlier in the year (2017) at Melbourne, Australia. So NADAL probably wants to be as close to FEDERER as possible and his best way to do this is on the CLAY at ROLAND GARROS
