GERMANY beat ARGENTINA 1-0 in extra time of the Final held at the Maracana stadium in Rio De Janeiro.

THE BOYS FROM BRAZIL (1978)

Laurence Olivier plays a Nazi hunter trying to find the whereabouts of Dr Mengele who had set up a genetics lab in Brazil to replicate the German leader, Adolf Hitler so that his DNA would continue long after WW2.

 

MOONRAKER (1979)

Roger Moore plays 007 who finds himself in Rio De Janeiro trying to track where Drax's bio-chemical laboratory had moved. He discovers that Drax has moved his shipments out to the Amazon jungle. From there he gets a ride on a spaceship up to Drax's secret hideout, a Space Station populated with perfect specimens of young men and women, ready to repopulate the world after Drax had infected the world with Orchidea Negra extract, a toxin venomous only to humans.

BLAME IT ON RIO (1984)

Michael Caine finds himself in Rio De Janeiro trying to patch up his marriage with his colleague but he turns out to fancy his friends daughter and vice versa.

BRAZIL (1985)

Michael Palin, Robert De Niro star in a dystopian futuristic movie where Terrorism is rife and citizens can be arrested and executed on suspicion of terrorist activity according to the government.

THE MISSION (1986)

Jeremy Irons leads a mission to help a native tribe on the border of Argentina and Paraguay but politics twists the plot to involve the Portuguese government who want to make the native indians into slaves.

FAST FIVE or FAST AND FURIOUS 5 (2011)

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker escape to Rio De Janeiro where they then plan a major heist upon the Governor of Rio De Janeiro who holds an iron grip upon the poor people of Rio. He stores his money in a well enforced safe on the compound of Police Headquarters in Rio. Diesel and Walker steal the safe, drag it around Rio where the final scene finds them on a long bridge that spans the bay.

RIO  (DURAN DURAN) 1982/1983

DURAN DURAN formed in 1978. They produced an album in 1982 called RIO, and released a song by the same name. They rereleased the song in 1983 which is 33 years ago

The video shows Simon Le Bon and his band sailing on a yacht (in the caribbean) along with a woman, named RIO. The song pays homage to this woman and the effect she seems to have on Le Bon and the rest of the band.

If any event is planned for RIO DE JANEIRO, then recent history shows that RIO hosted the World Military games in July 2011. That would be a good time for the Military or the Military Industrial Complex to devise a scheme to carry out an episode in or around the RIO DE JANEIRO region in the days from 5th August through to 21st August.

The Olympic Games has a major viewing audience, making it popular because of the various bread and circus sports and events on show during this time period.

As mentioned, RIO DE JANEIRO has played host to the Pan American Games (15th series),

The Federations Cup, the FIFA World Cup in 2014 where 7 games were played at the Maracana stadium in June and July 2014.

The FIFA World Cup experienced alleged protests from Brazilian people over the political state of the economy due to the present incumbents at the time of the World Cup.

Rio has a university, naval ports and an Airport not far from Copacabana beach and Sugarloaf mountain.

It is 44 years from the MUNICH OLYMPICS in 1972 in Germany to the RIO OLYMPICS in 2016.

A recent episode in Munich, Germany made a link to the Olympic Games, an episode in a shopping mall just a stones' throw away from the former Olympic venue and residents area during those Olympics in Munich.

This happened at the OLYMPIA SHOPPING MALL in Munich on 22nd July (supposedly) 22/7 is Pi=3.141592...

This is just 15 days between the 'Munich Massacre' and the RIO OLYMPICS OPENING CEREMONY. So 22 days would be Friday 12th August 2016.

So the dates of 12th, 13th 14th August 2016.
